Judging and Officiating Seminars

Our goal then is to educate, train, unify, and standardize tournament rules and officiating. If we can do this then we can elevate students to a level of performance which will be admired by not only Isshinryu Karate-ka, but by all Karate-ka. We have been a part of several organizations that have done this and we have seen the positive results.

Hanshi Marcum is a national and international certified official. He has been using these rules since the early seventies. He has earned national official licenses in the AAU, USAKF, USANKF and similar organizations. He has officiated in national championships, international championships, national team trials, and Okinawan Regokai. He has been using these systems for over forty years.

Please contact us for further information.

Saturday, June 6th Master Bill Marcum will be at The Isshin-Ryu School of Karate (232 Route 46, Vienna, NJ) just 3.25 miles west of Hackettstown to conduct a judging certification seminar. This will make it much easier on area black belts at the IWKA Championship Tournament ... not having to schedule time for the seminar on Thursday or Friday. All information and PowerPoint information is on my dojo web site, as well. I will have light snacks, etc., at the event. Please share this information with your Black Belts and please let me know how many will be attending so I can plan seating by Wednesday, May 13

COST: $15.00

TIME: 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Saturday, June 13th Master Bill Marcum will be at Kent Karate betwen 11:30am and 2:00pm. He will be reviewing the rules for the upcoming IWKA championships, including signal calls for points and fouls for judges and referees.

TIME: 11:30am to 2:00pm
